Chicken Parmesan

This recipe is a delicious and satisfying Italian dish that is easy to make at home. It is a healthier version of the classic restaurant dish, as it is baked instead of fried.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breasts, pounded to 1/4-inch thickness
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Dip the chicken breasts in the beaten egg, then coat them in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and top with the tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake the chicken in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until it

is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Serve the chicken Parmesan topped with chopped parsley, if desired.
