Chicken Parmesan
This recipe is a delicious and satisfying Italian dish that is easy to make at home. It is a healthier version of the classic restaurant dish, as it is baked instead of fried.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken breasts, pounded to 1/4-inch thickness
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
- Dip the chicken breasts in the beaten egg, then coat them in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and top with the tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
