Chocolate brownies are perfect for any occasion and are very easy to make. Follow this simple recipe for the perfect chocolatey treats. Bakers’ tip: Use quality chocolate for an especially rich and decadent taste.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a medium size to large baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking as you add each egg.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, whisking until they are just combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the surface with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes. A good way to tell if the brownies are done is if you can insert a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
Serving Suggestion: Warm the brownies up in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before serving, and top with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
