Simple Brownie Recipe

Chocolate Brownies

Chocolate brownies are perfect for any occasion and are very easy to make. Follow this simple recipe for the perfect chocolatey treats. Bakers’ tip: Use quality chocolate for an especially rich and decadent taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a medium size to large baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking as you add each egg.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, whisking until they are just combined.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the surface with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes. A good way to tell if the brownies are done is if you can insert a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean.
  9. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.

Serving Suggestion: Warm the brownies up in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before serving, and top with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
